We are honored and excited that you are here to share the Dartmouth experience with fellow families and your student. We invite you to connect with each other, explore the campus and Upper Valley, and take advantage of the variety of programming offered just for you throughout the weekend.

Please note: Your name tag and lanyard must be worn throughout the weekend—it’s your “entry ticket” for tours, sessions, meals, the welcome reception, and social gatherings.

The Orozco Murals Meet in front of Baker-Berry Library Take a tour with a docent from the Hood Museum of Art of José Clemente Orozco’s extraordinary mural cycle, The Epic of American Civilization (1932-34). The 24 panels comprising the mural cover nearly 3,200 square feet of wall space. One of Orozco's finest creations and one of Dartmouth’s most treasured works, the mural was designated a national historic landmark in 2013. |

Harnessing the Power of Fungi to Solve Environmental Crises JUST ADDED: Wilder Hall, Room 111, 17 Fayerweather Hill Rd. Vast networks of beneficial fungi live beneath our feet, connecting plants and shuttling resources in a complex underground superhighway. But how do these fungal networks form, what do they do, and how can they help us address global environmental challenges like biodiversity conservation, food security, and climate change? Research in the Humanities: A Personal Perspective Rockefeller Center, Room 003, 2 Webster Avenue This lecture will present the winding and serendipitous trajectory of one research project that combines study of the ancient Near East with ancient Greece and Rome. It centers on an impressive statue in the Vatican Museum and finds its ultimate origins in Dartmouth College's collection of Assyrian reliefs. Meet inside front entrance of Baker-Berry Library at the Information Desk
Sign-up for the tours at Family Weekend check-in on either Friday or Saturday, first-come, first-served. At your assigned time, meet at the Baker Library Information desk. This is a self- guided visit. Groups of nine will take the tour leaving the information desk at their assigned times. Each tour group will be escorted to the top of Baker Library Tower, take in the beautiful views, and descend. This is a hands-free experience—each person must be able to navigate many steep steps and a ladder on his/her own. The total experience should last about 20 minutes. Enjoy! |

Featured groups at the performances are the Aires, Brovertones, Cords, Dodecaphonics, Dartmouth Sings, and Subtleties, and The Rocks. |
