As you know, Dartmouth is an incredibly special place with tons to offer. The holiday season provides students with an opportunity to reflect on all the amazing things that make them grateful, including donors like you who make it all possible!

It was a rainy Dartmouth Night for Homecoming 2023, but that didn't stop our Dartmouth community from rallying together for the parade and laps around the bonfire. The glow of the fire was reflected in the joy on the faces of those in attendance. 

Please join us in welcoming back our wonderful students and brand new ’27s to Hanover for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year! Enjoy this student-produced look at move-in day and all of the fun fall festivities Dartmouth students are getting up to this term.

Joseph McInnis '24 and Nathan Tamkin '26 are members of Dartmouth's Formula Racing team, one of many on-campus clubs for students to participate in. The club allows students to combine their academic and competitive interests in the pursuit of building a real formula racing car.

Alexandra Harland '23 lives with three roommates in a new construction called "Summit on Juniper" that is 3-miles from campus. Allie shares what this is like, what facilities are available, and how she gets to and from campus. Allie, originally from Melbourne, Australia, is a sociology major with a minor in psychology, and a member of the Dartmouth Women's Basketball program.

Ranvir Deshmukh is a member of the class of 2026 from Jalgaon, India. When applying to colleges, he stumbled upon a video made in 2014, which featured a number of Dartmouth students dancing to the song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. This video inspired him to apply himself. When he arrived on campus, he wanted to be able to spread that message to other students, current and aspiring. So, he decided to re-create the video and showcase just how happy he is to be a part of this community. When he isn’t making impactful videos with his friends, Ranvir is studying Computer Sciences as well as participating in a number of clubs including Dartmouth Student Government, Club Rugby, Student Entrepreneurship, and more!

Dhanush Balaji is also a ‘26 from Bangalore, India. While applying to colleges, he fell in love with Hanover’s unique promise of a small, tight-knit community dedicated to diversity and the pursuit of a well-rounded, world-class education. After making his way from Bangalore to Hanover, Dhanush found a wonderful community of accepting and helpful friends and mentors, which inspired him to work with Ranvir to create the “Happy” video. He is pursuing his passion for Economics and considering a minor in Computer Sciences. On campus, he is involved in a number of clubs, his favorite of which is the Aegis Yearbook Club.

Lauren Ferridge ’23 (co-captain) and Kristen Bitter '23 discuss their experiences as members of the back-to-back championship-winning Dartmouth Women's Rugby team. The team has now won three Division I NCAA championships and six Ivy League titles!
